Wizards 113, Nets 107: John Wall's 21 points and six assists led the way as Washington fended off host Brooklyn.

Wall, Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal combined to hit nine 3-pointers in the Wizards' second straight win. Nene had 17 points while Beal and Ariza added 15 apiece.

Paul Pierce led all scorers with 27 points in a reserve role for the Nets, who fell despite shooting 52.7 percent from the field. Brook Lopez had 22 points, Joe Johnson added 20 and Deron Williams contributed 15 points and 13 assists.

Six straight points from Nene and Ariza's 3-pointer in the final minute of the opening half helped the Wizards carry a 59-53 edge into the break. The lead grew to double digits on Trevor Booker's putback, and Nene added a driving dunk with just under two minutes remaining in the third quarter as Washington went into the fourth leading 85-77.

Pierce's layup near the midway point of the final quarter made it a one-possession game, and Williams added a 12-footer with 1:57 left to trim the Wizards' lead to one. Washington responded with Marcin Gortat's layup, and Beal put the game away with a 3-pointer from the left wing on the Wizards' next possession.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Washington outrebounded Brooklyn 51-31. ... One game after knocking down 10 3-pointers in a lopsided win over Philadelphia, Johnson went just 2-of-6 from beyond the arc versus the Wizards. ... Lopez went 7-for-11 from the field in his return from a two-game absence due to an ankle injury.
