Trail Blazers 105, Jazz 94: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting to lead visiting Portland past Utah for the second time in four days.

Damian Lillard added 18 points and Wesley Matthews finished with 16 for the Blazers, who improved to 9-2 on the road. Robin Lopez contributed 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for Portland, which converted 19-of-20 from the free-throw line.

Alec Burks had 20 points to lead the offense for the Jazz, who lost their fourth straight game. Enes Kanter totaled 19 points and Gordon Hayward chipped in with 17 for Utah, which converted only 1-of-7 from 3-point range.

The Jazz hung in there with the powerhouse Trail Blazers early, as Portland needed a runner from Mo Williams at the buzzer to knot the game at 22-22 to close the first quarter. Nicolas Batum's floating jumper with 2:32 remaining before intermission gave the Blazers a six-point edge and they would maintain that advantage at halftime with a 51-45 lead.

Portland used a 13-6 spurt, capped by a 3-pointer from Matthews, to move ahead 64-51 early in the third quarter and distanced itself by as many as 15 in the period -- taking a 77-64 lead into the final frame. Utah managed to pull within 97-92 on a pair of free throws from Hayward with 1:28 to play but it was too little, too late as back-to-back 3-point strikes from Batum and Lillard pushed the Blazers to their 16th win in their last 18 games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland shot 31.6 percent from 3-point range, after knocking down 17-of-23 for an NBA record 73.9 percent against Utah last Friday. ...
