Heat 103, Timberwolves 82: LeBron James racked up 21 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists and Dwyane Wade added 19 points as visiting Miami eased to its way to a 16th consecutive regular-season win against a Western Conference opponent by knocking off Minnesota.

Ray Allen added 11 points and fellow reserve Rashard Lewis scored 10 for the Heat, who snapped a two-game skid with their seventh straight win over Minnesota. Miami used a 56-28 edge in the paint to overcome going 4-for-18 from 3-point range.

Kevin Martin scored 19 and Nikola Pekovic added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who were without star forward Kevin Love following the death of his grandmother. Corey Brewer chipped in 13 points and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute contributed 11 for Minnesota, which has lost five of its last six.

After a back-and-forth first quarter, Miami opened it up by outscoring Minnesota 31-17 in the second period to take a 55-42 halftime lead. The Timberwolves got within five in the third quarter before James scored six points during a 15-1 run that helped send Miami into the final stanza with a 76-60 advantage.

The Heat stretched it to 20 early in the fourth and the Timberwolves didn't challenge the rest of the way. Minnesota shot just 29.3 percent overall and made only 12 field goals in each half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 14 rebounds are the most in a Heat uniform for James, who has scored in double figures in 515 consecutive games. … Miami improved to 14-0 when holding opponents under 100 points. … Miami PG Mario Chalmers (573) had three steals to move past Glen Rice for third on the franchise's all-time list.
