Nets 97, Grizzlies 88: Joe Johnson led all scorers with 26 points as visiting Brooklyn halted a two-game skid.

Johnson shot 9-of-15 from the field while adding six assists and five rebounds for the Nets. Andray Blatche had 21 points and eight rebounds in a reserve role while Brook Lopez chipped in 20 points and nine boards.

Quincy Pondexter's 22 bench points paced the Grizzlies, who fell to 3-5 at home. Mike Conley led the starters with 16 points and added 10 assists while Tony Allen finished with 13 points and Kosta Koufos had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Johnson's 18 points were the difference in the opening half as the Nets broke out to a 48-37 advantage. Brooklyn led by as many as 15 in the third before the Grizzlies chipped away, getting a Jon Leuer 3-pointer near the midway point of the quarter and long-range shots from Mike Miller and Pondexter in the final 81 seconds to go into the fourth trailing 73-65.

Pondexter rattled off the first six points of the final quarter to make it a one-possession game, but Lopez caught fire later in the period with four straight short jumpers as part of a personal 9-4 run. Johnson added the finishing touch, knocking down a 3-pointer out of a Brooklyn timeout with 2:43 left to make it a 16-point lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Nets were without Deron Williams, Paul Pierce, Andrei Kirilenko and Jason Terry due to injuries. ... Memphis PF Zach Randolph missed the game with an ingrown toenail. ... Brooklyn went to the line 14 more times than the Grizzlies, making 11 more free throws.
