Nets 102, Raptors 100: Andray Blatche poured in 24 points and visiting Brooklyn survived a late collapse to end a five-game slide.

After Toronto fought back from a 15-point deficit to close to within one on Rudy Gay's 3-pointer with 23 seconds left, Shaun Livingston was fouled but made just one of his two free throws. Gay drove on Toronto's final possession before dishing to Amir Johnson, who missed what would have been the game-winning 3-pointer.

Joe Johnson added 21 points for the Nets, who won despite being without regulars Deron Williams (ankle), Brook Lopez (ankle) and Andrei Kirilenko (back). DeMar DeRozan's 27 points paced the Raptors while Kyle Lowry added 24 in defeat.

DeRozan's 13 points propelled Toronto to a 28-26 lead after one, but Blatche put together five straight points during a 10-0 run that gave Brooklyn the lead seven minutes into the second. Johnson's pull-up 3-pointer in transition fueled a late 9-2 run that gave the Nets a 55-51 halftime edge.

Johnson struck again in the third, knocking down a mid-range jumper with 8:26 remaining to extend the Brooklyn lead to 10. Toronto rallied to close to within five entering the fourth, but the Nets used a free-throw barrage to go back in front by double digits and Blatche converted a short jumper with 5:22 remaining to give Brooklyn a seemingly insurmountable 101-86 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Nets bullied Toronto inside, outrebounding the Raptors 39-34 while finishing with a 48-28 edge in points in the paint. ... The teams combined to miss just 3-of-44 free-throw chances. ... Gay finished with nine points on 3-of-12 shooting and has yet to surpass 50 percent in a game this season.
