Knicks 95, Hawks 91: Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points and Andrea Bargnani added 20 points and 11 rebounds as visiting New York used a strong fourth-quarter surge to defeat Atlanta.

Tim Hardaway Jr. added 14 points off the bench and Iman Shumpert contributed nine assists and four steals as the Knicks rebounded from Sunday’s 31-point home loss to San Antonio. New York committed just six turnovers while forcing 15.

Jeff Teague had 25 points and eight assists and Al Horford added 23 points on 11-of-14 shooting for the Hawks, who failed to reach 100 points for the first time this season. Kyle Korver made two 3-pointers to stretch his consecutive games streak to 81, eight shy of the NBA record set by Dana Barros.

Korver’s second 3-pointer gave Atlanta a 78-72 lead with 8:33 to go before Anthony scored the first six points of a 15-2 burst that saw New York take a seven-point lead with 4:13 remaining. Bargnani banked in a 3-pointer and then hit an 8-footer to give the Knicks a 92-82 advantage with 2:15 to play.

New York led 55-45 at halftime before making just 5-of-25 field-goal attempts in the third quarter. Horford scored 10 points in the stanza as Atlanta took a 68-65 lead into the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Knicks G J.R. Smith drew the start in his second game since returning from a league-mandated suspension and had 12 points and seven rebounds in 33 minutes. … F Cartier Martin also scored in double digits for Atlanta with 13 points. … New York was 12-of-34 from 3-point range, while the Hawks were just 5-of-24.
