Clippers 109, Timberwolves 107: Blake Griffin had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Chris Paul added 21 points, 11 assists and four steals as host Los Angeles slipped past Minnesota.

Jamal Crawford tallied 18 points and DeAndre Jordan added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Clippers. Los Angeles prevailed when Minnesota missed three shots in the final four seconds.

Kevin Martin scored 30 points, Nikola Pekovic had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Kevin Love had 23 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists for the Timberwolves. Martin missed a jumper in the final seconds, Pekovic missed a put-back and Love missed a tip at the buzzer.

Crawford scored eight points during a 12-0 fourth-quarter surge that gave the Clippers a 98-87 lead. Martin then tallied 10 points during a 12-3 run as the Timberwolves pulled within 101-99 with 3:26 to play and stayed in range until the end.

Los Angeles shot 58.7 percent in the first half en route to a 59-58 lead at the break. The lead went back-and-forth in the third quarter before the Clippers ended the quarter with an 11-4 run, capped by Crawford’s 50-foot buzzer-beating 3-pointer to take an 85-80 advantage into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Los Angeles has defeated Minnesota six consecutive times. … Love and Martin each made four 3-pointers as the Timberwolves went 11-for-29 from behind the arc. … Clippers F Matt Barnes (thigh) returned from a three-game absence and had nine points and eight rebounds in 22 minutes.
