Damian Lillard bounced back with 25 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 and 12 rebounds as Portland held off visiting Detroit.

Lillard, who struggled to a season-low four points on 1-of-15 shooting on Saturday, went 7-of-16 from the field and knocked down five 3-pointers. Robin Lopez chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds and Mo Williams scored 17 off the bench for the Trail Blazers, who won their third straight.

Brandon Jennings had 28 points, Greg Monroe added 19 and eight rebounds and Andre Drummond collected 16 and 16 as the Pistons dropped to 0-2 on the road. Detroit, which was playing the opener of a four-game trip, has lost three in a row.

Drummond’s bucket to start the fourth quarter drew the Pistons within 83-80 but Dorell Wright and Lillard knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to stretch it back out. Aldridge’s 17-foot jumper with 6:16 to play put Portland in front 100-90.

The lead would grow to as much as 105-92 with 4:28 left before Jennings scored seven points during a 9-0 burst to draw within 107-103 with 1:28 on the clock. Lillard turned it over with 23 seconds left but Jennings had a layup roll off the rim and Lillard knocked down two free throws to put it away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland G Wesley Matthews was held to three points on 1-of-3 shooting, snapping a career-best streak of five straight games with at least 18 points. … Aldridge failed to reach 20 points for the first time this season. … The Pistons outscored the Blazers 60-36 in the paint.
