Warriors 106, Timberwolves 93:
Klay Thompson knocked down five of his six 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and finished with 30 points as visiting Golden State handed Minnesota its first home loss.

David Lee collected 22 points and 15 rebounds and Andre Iguodala added 20 points and six assists for the Warriors. Harrison Barnes (foot) made his season debut and scored 14 points in as many minutes off the bench as Golden State picked up its third straight win.

Kevin Love recorded 25 points and 16 boards, Kevin Martin scored 23 points and Corey Brewer chipped in 18 for the Timberwolves, who have dropped back-to-back games following a 3-0 start.

Thompson buried a trio of 3-pointers and totaled 13 points during the first four minutes of the fourth quarter to extend the lead out to 94-80. Another from beyond the arc with 5:52 to play gave the Warriors their biggest lead of the night at 99-81, and Thompson connected on his fifth 3-pointer of the period just over a minute later.

Lee’s dunk with 1:30 on the clock made it a 106-90 bulge and both teams emptied the benches.

Minnesota led by as many as eight points early in the first quarter but Golden State grabbed the lead with a 9-0 run in the second and took a 50-47 edge into the half. Lee went 7-for-9 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds in the first 24 minutes to pace the Warriors.

The Timberwolves pulled even at 52 on Martin’s 3-pointer but Golden State responded with a 13-2 burst behind seven points from Thompson to take their first double-digit lead at 65-54. Marreese Speights’ buzzer-beating 3-pointer made it a 79-71 gap entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Warriors’ bench outscored Minnesota 27-10, led by Barnes. … Golden State PG Stephen Curry struggled to just five points on 2-of-8 shooting but handed out seven assists and committed only one turnover. … The Warriors won the battle of the boards 49-40 despite Love’s big night.
