Bobcats 102, Knicks 97: Kemba Walker had a team-high 25 points as Charlotte earned its first road win of the season.

Gerald Henderson added 18 points to lead the Bobcats, who moved back to the .500 mark for the year. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a season-high 16 points while Jeffery Taylor added 13 in a reserve role.

Carmelo Anthony erupted for 32 points for the Knicks, who made just 8-of-28 attempts from beyond the arc. Metta World Peace scored 18 points off the bench while Ray Felton and Iman Shumpert chipped in with 14 apiece.

Walker's 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting lifted Charlotte to a surprise 31-28 edge after one quarter. Anthony Tolliver and Henderson knocked down 3s to help keep the Bobcats clear in the second, and Walker added seven points in a 2:04 span late in the half to send the Bobcats into the break ahead 64-54.

New York closed to within four on Kenyon Martin's layup with less than four minutes remaining in the third quarter, but Charlotte held the Knicks to just one field goal in the final 3:10 while Tolliver's 3-pointer with 50 seconds remaining helped the Bobcats surge ahead 82-76 entering the fourth. Layups from World Peace and Anthony whittled the deficit down to two with 6:18 left, but Jeff Adrien and Kidd-Gilchrist fended off the rally with late shots from in close.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Knicks lost C Tyson Chandler to a right knee injury in the first quarter. X-rays were inconclusive, and Chandler is expected to undergo further tests Wednesday. ... Walker left with a shoulder contusion in the third quarter, but X-rays were negative and he returned early in the fourth. ... Charlotte outrebounded the hosts 51-33.
