Nets 104, Jazz 88:
Brook Lopez scored 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting as host Brooklyn rolled past struggling Utah.

Joe Johnson added 12 points and Deron Williams chipped in 10 points and eight assists as the Nets evened their record at 2-2. Six players scored in double digits for Brooklyn, which bounced back from a 21-point loss to Orlando two nights earlier.

Gordon Hayward scored 22 points and Enes Kanter added 21 for the Jazz, who are off to a 0-4 start for the first time since the 1979-80 campaign. Utah shot just 37.8 percent and committed 21 turnovers in the opener of a four-game road trip.

Brooklyn never trailed, scoring the first seven points and leading by as many as 18 in the second quarter en route to a 54-38 halftime lead. The advantage reached 84-59 on Shaun Livingston’s basket with 1:49 left in the third quarter and the Nets employed reserves for the entire fourth quarter.

The easy victory marked the first time Williams has beaten the Jazz in five attempts since Utah dealt him during the 2011-12 campaign. Derrick Favors, who the Jazz received as part of the package, had just six points on 2-of-8 shooting.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brooklyn shot 57.9 percent over the first three quarters before relying on the reserves. … Jazz G Brandon Rush (knee) played for the first time since Nov. 2, 2012, and didn’t score in 10 minutes. … The Nets had a whopping 58-26 edge in points in the paint.
