Clippers 110, Kings 101:
Chris Paul collected 26 points and 10 assists and Blake Griffin added 20 points and 17 rebounds as visiting Los Angeles pulled away late to down Sacramento.

Jamal Crawford scored 18 points off the bench and J.J. Redick had 13 for the Clippers, who have won back-to-back games since dropping their season opener on Tuesday. Paul hit three 3-pointers and went 9-of-9 from the free-throw line as Los Angeles boosted its scoring average to 113 on the young season.

Isaiah Thomas scored 29 points off the bench and DeMarcus Cousins recorded 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings.

The Clippers led by as many as 11 points in the second quarter and took a 54-45 lead into the break when Paul closed the second quarter with a jumper. Jared Dudley’s jumper pushed the lead out to 66-51 less than four minutes into the third before Sacramento called a timeout and regrouped, ripping off an 11-2 run over the next three minutes and closing to within 79-77 heading into the fourth.

Thomas’ layup knotted it at 90 with 7:15 left and Jason Thompson’s dunk 32 seconds later gave the Kings their first lead since early in the first quarter. Paul drained a 3-pointer and two free throws to give Los Angeles back the lead and it closed things out at the free-throw line.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Kings declined the fourth-year option on G Jimmer Fredette, and the former first-round pick failed to get off the bench for the second straight game. … Cousins blocked Paul’s short jumper with 2:47 left but was called for a technical for taunting, leading to a free throw by Redick that made it 100-97. … Griffin went 8-for-8 from the line after struggling to 8-for-18 in the first two contests.
