Heat 114, Pacers 96: LeBron James led all five starters in double figures with 22 points as visiting Miami came out strong and easily held off Indiana to grab a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference finals.

Dwyane Wade added 18 points and eight assists and Udonis Haslem scored 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting for the Heat, who shot 54.5 percent.

David West collected 21 points and 10 boards and Roy Hibbert had 20 and 17 as the Pacers fell for the first time at home in the playoffs. Indiana will host Game 4 on Tuesday.

James bridged the first and second quarter with a personal 6-0 run to give Miami the lead for good. James scored 12 points in the second quarter as the Heat stretched it out, taking a 70-56 lead into the break when James buried a jumper in front of the buzzer.

Indiana pulled within seven points in the third quarter but Miami responded with an 11-2 run to spread it back out. The lead was 91-76 heading into the fourth quarter and swelled to as much as 99-78 when Ray Allen knocked down a 3-pointer with 9:34 left before the Heat coasted to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The 70-point first half was the first time Miami had reached that mark in its postseason history. The Heat turned the ball over once in the first half and only five times in the contest. … Haslem had totaled three points in the first two games of the series on 1-of-7 shooting. Miami F Chris Andersen went 4-for-4 from the field and is 13-for-13 in the series. … The Pacers had not yielded 70 points in any half this season but allowed the Heat to shoot 62.8 percent before the break.
