Grizzlies 94, Clippers 82:
Zach Randolph had 27 points and 11 rebounds as host Memphis knocked off Los Angeles to win its first game in the Western Conference best-of-seven series.

Marc Gasol scored 16 points and Tony Allen and Quincy Pondexter added 13 apiece as the Grizzlies trimmed the Clippers’ lead in the series to 2-1. Game 4 is Saturday in Memphis.

Blake Griffin scored 16 points and Matt Barnes added 12 for Los Angeles. Chris Paul struggled to eight points and had more turnovers (five) than assists (four).

The Clippers pulled within 74-69 on two free throws by Barnes with 8:38 remaining. Gasol and Jerryd Bayless hit back-to-back hoops to start a 15-4 run that was culminated by two free throws by Mike Conley with 2:47 left for a 16-point lead.

Randolph had 18 first-half points as Memphis took a 47-39 lead into the break. The lead increased to 14 on Gasol’s basket with 5:54 left in the third quarter before Los Angeles trimmed its deficit to 70-62 entering the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis had a 45-33 rebounding edge, including 17 offensive boards. … The Grizzlies racked up 11 steals with Tony Allen (four) and PG Mike Conley (10 assists, three steals) leading the way. … Barnes was called for a flagrant 1 foul on Randolph with 6:01 remaining, Griffin and Gasol drew double technical fouls with 3:10 to go and Randolph and Griffin were called for double fouls with 2:01 left.
