Pistons 113, Bobcats 93: Jonas Jerebko matched his season high with 21 points and Brandon Knight added 19 as host Detroit beat Charlotte for its third straight victory.

Will Bynum added 15 points and 10 assists and Andre Drummond had 15 points and nine rebounds as the Pistons knocked off the Bobcats for the eighth time in the last nine meetings.

Kemba Walker scored 24 of his 28 points in the first half for the Bobcats, who lost their 14th consecutive road game. Josh McRoberts added 17 points and Gerald Henderson scored 15 as Charlotte lost for the ninth time in 11 games overall.

The Pistons opened the second half with an 8-2 surge to boost a six-point halftime lead to 67-55. Detroit’s advantage reached 21 on a basket by Greg Monroe with 8:59 to play and the Pistons cruised to the finish.

Charlotte led by 10 points early in the second quarter before the Pistons responded with a 13-2 run for a 36-35 lead on Jerebko’s basket with 8:34 left in the half. Jerebko had 17 points and was 7-of-8 from the field in the half as Detroit led 59-53 at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit’s longest winning streak this season is four games from Dec. 28-Jan. 4. … The Bobcats finished 6-35 on the road. … Drummond left with a sprained right ankle with 5:30 remaining.
