Hornets 110, Nuggets 86
: Rookie Brian Roberts had a season-high 18 assists in just his second start as host New Orleans easily snapped Denver's 15-game winning streak despite playing without its starting backcourt.

Hornets guards Greivis Vasquez and Eric Gordon both sat with ankle injuries but Roberts shined in their absence, adding in 13 points and just three turnovers in 41 minutes. Ryan Anderson had a team-high 23 points for New Orleans, which has won three straight for the first time since a four-game streak Jan. 5-11.

Danilo Gallinari scored 24 points to lead the Nuggets, who failed to set a franchise record for consecutive wins. They played their third straight game without point guard Ty Lawson (ankle), but swingman Wilson Chandler returned from a shoulder injury to chip in 11 points off the bench.

The Hornets led by as many as 14 in the first quarter and ended the second on an 11-1 run to carry a commanding 59-38 advantage into the locker room. Denver got within single digits for a brief moment in the third and was down 13 early in the fourth when Anderson scored five points in 28 seconds to make it 94-76 with 8:18 to go.

New Orleans pulled away down the stretch to improve to 3-1 on its season-long seven-game homestand. Among the top shooting teams in the league entering the night, Denver shot 37.9 percent, just a shade above its season low.
