Timberwolves 87, Wizards 82: Ricky Rubio collected 15 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and six steals and came up with a key steal and assist in the final minute to help host Minnesota snap a six-game losing streak.

Derrick Williams added 16 points and eight rebounds and Luke Ridnour scored 15 for the Timberwolves, who improved to 1-13 when scoring fewer than 90 points.

John Wall scored 19 points and dished out seven assists and Emeka Okafor had 10 points and 14 rebounds for Washington, which was outscored 42-22 in the paint despite a 44-34 edge on the boards.

Minnesota led 65-63 heading to the fourth quarter before the Wizards opened the final period on a 10-0 run. J.J. Barea hit a pair of 3-pointers to aid the comeback and knocked down a basket off of Rubio's assist to give the TImberwolves the lead for good at 81-79 with 3:55 left.

Washington had the ball down one in the final minute, but Rubio stole it from Wall and fed Barea for a layup to extend the lead to 85-82. Trevor Ariza missed a 3-pointer for the tie at the other end and Ridnour hit a pair of free throws to ice it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wizards rookie SG Bradley Beal sat out with a sprained left ankle. Beal leads the team with 14.2 points per game. … Minnesota was without Andrei Kirilenko (calf) for a fourth consecutive game and Nikola Pekovic (abdominal strain) for a third straight contest. … Washington has held its opponents under 100 points in its last 10 road games, the longest streak in the NBA this season.
