Trail Blazers 122, Bobcats 105: LaMarcus Aldridge had 23 points and 14 rebounds while Damian Lillard and Nicolas Batum scored 20 points apiece as host Portland downed Charlotte for its fourth win in five games.

J.J. Hickson and Meyers Leonard added 15 points apiece and Wesley Matthews scored 14 as the Trail Blazers shot 59.8 percent from the field while beating the Bobcats for the seventh time in the last eight meetings.

Ramon Sessions scored 18 points, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Kemba Walker added 15 points and 11 assists for Charlotte, which has lost seven straight contests and 15 of its last 17.

The Trail Blazers shot 65.1 percent in the first half en route to a 68-55 lead. The advantage reached 17 on Leonard’s basket with 1:20 left in the third quarter and Portland took a 91-79 lead into the final stanza.

Charlotte never was able to get within single digits in the fourth quarter despite matching a season high with 21 offensive rebounds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Batum and Matthews each had four 3-pointers as Portland was 12-of-24 from behind the arc. … The double-double was the fourth of the season for Kidd-Gilchrist, the second selection in last June’s draft. … Aldridge had three of the Trail Blazers’ nine blocked shots.
