Jazz 98, Bobcats 68: Enes Kanter set career highs of 23 points and 22 rebounds in leading host Utah to an easy victory over woeful Charlotte.

DeMarre Carroll added 19 points and Gordon Hayward and Jeremy Evans tallied 14 apiece as the Jazz cruised despite being without starting center Al Jefferson and starting forward Paul Millsap due to ankle injuries.

Byron Mullens scored 12 points and Ramon Sessions added 11 for the Bobcats, who have lost five consecutive contests and 13 of their last 15. Charlotte was outrebounded by a 62-24 margin and scored its fewest points of the season.

Utah dominated from the outset and had a 21-9 lead after the opening quarter. The lead reached 37-16 on two free throws by Kanter with 4:50 left in the half before the Jazz took a 47-24 lead into the break.

The onslaught continued in the second half as the Jazz snapped a three-game losing skid with the 30-point victory.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Utah’s Randy Foye hit his 130th 3-pointer of the season, surpassing the franchise mark set by Mehmet Okur in 2006-07. … The Bobcats shot 34.6 percent from the field. … The 24 points in the first half are the least allowed by the Jazz in a half in franchise history.
