Celtics 93, Nets 76: Rajon Rondo scored a team-high 19 points as visiting Boston downed Brooklyn to snap a five-game road losing streak.

Rookie Jared Sullinger tied a career high with 16 points and Jeff Green chipped in 15 points. Jason Terry contributed 11 points while Paul Pierce handed out a season-high 10 assists and Kevin Garnett grabbed 10 rebounds.

Gerald Wallace and Brook Lopez scored 15 points apiece for the Nets, who have dropped nine of their last 12 games. Joe Johnson had 12 points while Deron Williams finished with 10 points and six assists.

The Celtics started slowly but caught fire in the second quarter, outscoring the Nets 34-18 for a 56-42 halftime lead. Boston seized control by making nine of 13 shots during a 23-5 run capped by Rondo's three-point play with 3:56 remaining in the half.

Boston expanded the lead to 21 points in the third quarter but Johnson hit two 3-pointers during Brooklyn's 15-2 run that cut the deficit to 66-58 with 2:05 remaining. The Celtics quickly regained their double-digit lead, scoring the final seven points of the stanza and taking a 73-58 lead on Rondo's 3-pointer with 31.2 seconds remaining.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brooklyn F Kris Humphries sat out with a mild abdominal strain. He also will miss Wednesday's game in Milwaukee. ... There was a minor shoving incident with 9:32 remaining in the fourth quarter when Wallace grabbed Garnett's shorts. Garnett shoved back slightly before officials stepped in and issued technical fouls to Wallace, Garnett, Brooklyn's Andray Blatche and Boston's Courtney Lee. ... Sullinger was issued a flagrant-one foul with 6:03 remaining for his hard foul on Wallace. ... Pierce came within four assists of his career high set April 18 against Orlando.
