Rockets 125, 76ers 103: James Harden continued his hot streak, scoring 33 points to power host Houston to the romp.

Jeremy Lin scored 18 points and Omer Asik added 17 points and 15 rebounds as the Rockets shot a sizzling 56 percent (42-of-75) in handing reeling Philadelphia its fifth consecutive defeat.

Reserve Greg Smith scored 13 points on 5-for-5 shooting, including 10 straight points spanning the third and fourth quarters to help Houston break the game open. Toney Douglas buried five 3-pointers and scored all 17 of his points in the final quarter.

Nick Young and Dorell Wright sparked a strong effort by the Sixers' reserves with 21 and 20 points, respectively. Thaddeus Young added 17 points for Philadelphia, which was within 81-78 on Nick Young's 3-pointer with 2:28 left in the third quarter.

Smith then outscored the Sixers 8-1 to push the lead to 89-79 after three quarters and added two more free throws to open the fourth as Houston pulled away for its fourth win in five games.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Harden is averaging 29.8 points over his last six games, scoring at least 28 points five times in that span. ... PG Jrue Holiday, the Sixers' leading scorer, sat out his fourth straight game with a sprained left foot. Evan Turner sprained his left ankle early in the third period. He came back four minutes later but went to the locker room with the team trainer at the end of the period. ... The Rockets became the fifth straight team to score at least 50 points against Philadelphia in the opening half.
