Knicks 100, Bobcats 98: J.R. Smith drilled a step-back jumper as time expired to help visiting New York record its fourth straight victory.

Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points in the first half but missed his first 10 shots from the field in the second. Anthony finished with 23 points before exiting after lacerating the middle finger on his left hand while diving into the bench to save a loose ball.

Tyson Chandler collected 18 points and 17 rebounds while former Bobcat Raymond Felton added 17 points. The Knicks evened their road record at 5-5 heading into Thursday's tilt with defending champion Miami.

Felton forced a five-second violation and tied the game at 98-98 with a driving layup. New York forced another turnover before Smith drove to his left and launched a high-arching shot that hit nothing but net.

Kemba Walker had 25 points and a career-high 11 assists while Gerald Henderson scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter for the Bobcats, who have lost five in a row.
