Magic 113, Lakers 103: Arron Afflalo scored 30 points and Glen Davis added 23 and 12 rebounds as visiting Orlando snapped a three-game slide and got the better of former franchise player Dwight Howard and Los Angeles.

Howard piled up 21 points and 15 rebounds against his former team and Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 34 but the Lakers were outscored 40-26 in the fourth quarter to fall back below .500 at 8-9.

Jameer Nelson collected 19 points and 13 assists and Howard’s replacement at center, Nikola Vucevic, chipped in 17 points and 12 boards for the Magic.

Los Angeles grabbed an 84-77 lead on Jodie Meeks’ 3-pointer with 8:11 left but allowed Orlando to go on a 9-0 run over the next 2:17. Vucevic’s three-point play with 5:54 left put the Magic on top 86-84 and the Lakers would not regain the lead.

Orlando went on a 21-9 run over a four-minute stretch to push the lead to double figures at 109-97. Nelson hit a pair of 3-pointers and J.J. Redick added another during the spurt.

GAME NOTEBOOK: After making 17 3-pointers in a 122-103 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday, Los Angeles only attempted 17 from beyond the arc on Sunday, connecting on six. … Nelson (Achilles) returned from a one-game absence and played 39 minutes. … The Lakers went 25-of-39 at the free throw line, low-lighted by Howard’s 9-of-21 performance at the stripe.
