Knicks 106, Suns 99: Carmelo Anthony scored 34 points and host New York fended off a late comeback to remain perfect at home.

Raymond Felton added 23 points and Tyson Chandler had 15 points and 13 rebounds as the Knicks improved to 7-0 at home with their third straight victory.

Marcin Gortat had 18 points and 10 boards and Shannon Brown scored all 17 of his points in the second half for the Suns, who cut a 17-point fourth-quarter lead to four before tumbling to their third consecutive defeat.

Phoenix came to life in the fourth quarter behind Sebastian Telfair, who scored seven points in a 13-2 burst to slice the deficit to 91-85, and closed within 103-99 with 29.3 seconds left, but J.R. Smith hit a pair of free throws and New York held on for its best home start since going 9-0 in 1992-93.

The Knicks bolted to an early 21-6 lead but the Suns cut it to four at the end of one period and were within 35-29 before New York used spurts of 7-0 and 11-2 to go ahead by 20 points en route to a 59-42 halftime edge. Reserves Steve Novak and Chris Copeland had nine and eight points, respectively in the second quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Knicks backup F Rasheed Wallace was ejected with 1:14 to play in the first quarter. He was tossed after spending just 85 seconds on the floor. ... Phoenix is running a promotion for Thursday's home game against Dallas in which the club guarantees that fans will be entertained by its "exciting brand of basketball" or can redeem the ticket for another game. ... Knicks G Jason Kidd sat out his fourth straight game due to back spasms.
