Darren Collison added 14 points and eight assists while Vince Carter scored 14 points off the bench for the Mavericks, who have won two of their last three to climb back above .500 at 6-5.

Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 26 points while Daniel Gibson and Dion Waiters added 16 apiece for the Cavaliers, who have lost five straight and allowed each of their last eight opponents to reach 100 points.

Cleveland got seven points from Irving during a 9-2 run that tied it up at 89-89 with 5:07 left. The Mavericks called a timeout and responded with a 9-0 burst, getting a 3-pointer from Mayo and two points and two assists from Collison to regain control.

The Cavaliers chopped it back down to 98-95 on Irving’s 3-pointer with 1:34 to play. But Kaman split a pair of free throws and Irving had his shot blocked at the other end, leading to a transition layup for Mayo that put it away.
