Paul George scored 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting and Gerald Green added 15 off the bench as host Indiana snapped a three-game slide.

Lance Stephenson had 12 points and Roy Hibbert grabbed 12 rebounds for the Pacers, who improved to 3-4 but once again failed to reach the century mark in regulation.

Former Indiana guard A.J. Price collected 12 points and 14 assists and Emeka Okafor piled up 17 points and eight rebounds for Washington, which remained winless at 0-5. The Wizards began last season with an 0-8 mark.

Washington held a slim lead in the fourth quarter until the Pacers used a 10-0 run to grab an 80-75 edge. Green scored four points and D.J. Augustin capped the burst with a 3-pointer.

David West’s layup with 1:44 left pushed it to 87-80 before the Wizards made one last run, getting a 3-pointer from rookie Bradley Beal and a short jumper from Okafor to cut it to 87-85 with 36 seconds to play. George got a rebound and hit two free throws with 1.2 seconds left to seal it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wizards and the Detroit Pistons are the only remaining teams without a victory. … Hibbert, West and Tyler Hansbrough combined to shoot 11-of-43 from the floor. Hibbert finished with seven points and has failed to reach double figures in four of the last six games. … Indiana got its first win since learning that Danny Granger would miss three months after getting an injection in his knee.
