Bulls 99, Magic 93: Luol Deng had 23 points and eight rebounds and ignited a fourth-quarter surge as host Chicago handed Orlando its first loss.

Joakim Noah added 20 points and nine boards as the Bulls beat the Magic for the sixth time in seven meetings.

Arron Afflalo scored 28 points to lead five players in double figures for Orlando, which was seeking its fourth 3-0 start in franchise history. Nikola Vucevic and Glen Davis each had double-doubles with 16 points and 10 rebounds apiece.

After Chicago trimmed a seven-point third-quarter deficit to two entering the fourth, Deng scored six points in a 12-2 spurt to put the Bulls in front 80-72 with 6:39 to play. The Magic got as close as 93-89 on Afflalo's 3-pointer with 1:15 to play, but Taj Gibson dunked and converted a three-point play to restore the lead to seven with 39 seconds left.

Reserves Gibson and Nate Robinson scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for Chicago, which hit seven consecutive shots in the fourth quarter and was 12 of 21 from the floor in the final 12 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Robinson has scored in double figures in three straight games. ... Magic PG Jameer Nelson sat out his second straight game with groin and hamstring injuries. The Magic also were without starting F Hedo Turkoglu, who suffered a broken bone in his hand in the season opener. ... Orlando was the first team to crack 90 points against Chicago, which had held its first three opponents under 90 for the first time in franchise history.
