HAWKS 101, PISTONS 96: Jeff Teague matched his career high with 24 points and added a season-high 11 assists as host Atlanta snapped Detroit's three-game winning streak.

Josh Smith had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Hawks, who blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead before rallying to move one-half game ahead of Orlando for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Rodney Stuckey paced Detroit with 27 points, including nine in a 17-2 spurt that gave the Pistons an 83-80 lead with 7 1/2 minutes to play.

Smith took over from there, scoring six straight points to put Atlanta ahead for good before adding a dunk that stretched the lead to five.

Joe Johnson and Ivan Johnson added 16 points apiece as the Hawks sent the Pistons to only their second loss in six games.

The teams traded runs throughout the first half. Will Bynum had nine points in a 13-2 spurt to put Detroit in front 38-32.

The Hawks responded by ending the half with a 16-2 run to take a 52-43 edge into the locker room. Teague had 17 points at the half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Smith had his ninth 20-point game in the last 10. He had averaged 26.0 points in the previous nine games. ... Teague had his second double-double of the season. ... Stuckey came off the bench for the second straight game while Ben Gordon started in his place. ... The Pistons were trying to match their longest winning streak of the season (Feb. 3-10).
