HAWKS 93, NETS 84: Josh Smith had 30 points and 12 rebounds as host Atlanta completed a four-game season sweep of New Jersey.

Joe Johnson scored 17 points, Jeff Teague tallied 16 points and Kirk Hinrich added 14 for the Hawks.

Deron Williams had 20 points and eight assists and Kris Humphries scored 17 points as New Jersey lost its fifth consecutive contest.

Atlanta trailed by seven entering the final quarter before holding the Nets to 15 fourth-quarter points.

The Hawks scored the first eight points of the quarter and took a 70-69 lead on Teague’s 3-pointer with 9:10 remaining.

New Jersey recovered to grab a 73-72 edge on two free throws by Humphries before Atlanta seized control with a 12-2 spurt to take a nine-point lead with under four minutes to play.

The Nets were within 88-84 after Humphries’ basket with 49 seconds left, but the Hawks hit five free throws (four by Teague) to hold on.

New Jersey led by as many as eight points in the second quarter and led 44-43 at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Smith has six 30-point games this season, four of them in March … New Jersey was just 6 of 25 from 3-point range … Atlanta forward Marvin Williams (hip) had 11 points after missing five consecutive contests … Nets guard Jordan Farmar (groin) returned after being sidelined for four games.
