KNICKS 82, 76ERS 79: Amar'e Stoudemire scored 21 points and Jeremy Lin had 16 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter as visiting New York improved to 5-0 under interim coach Mike Woodson.

New York leads Milwaukee by one game for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and trails first-place Philadelphia by three games in the Atlantic Division.

Jrue Holiday scored 16 points for the 76ers, who have lost four of five. Elton Brand added 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Stoudemire's dunk broke a 63-63 tie early in the fourth quarter. He added another basket before Lin followed with a jumper and two free throws to give New York an eight-point lead.

Lin was 4 for 17 from the field and 10 for 10 from the foul line.

Philadelphia missed its first 14 shots and didn't score until Thaddeus Young's free throw with 6:19 remaining in the first quarter.

New York led by 12 points on two occasions in the first half and took a 43-35 lead into the locker room.

GAME NOTEBOOK: New York forward Jared Jeffries left the game early in the fourth quarter with a right leg injury. ... The 76ers committed 10 turnovers in the first half, but only one in the final two quarters.
