Paul Millsap scored 16 points and recorded a career-high eight steals as host Utah won for just the second time in five games.

Millsap knocked down a jumper from the elbow on a pick-and-pop to put the Jazz ahead 109-105 with 19 seconds left in overtime. He had a chance to win the game in regulation with 0.7 seconds remaining, but an alley-oop layup off an inbounds pass rimmed out.

Millsap added 11 rebounds and four assists in the win.

The Timberwolves lost on the second stop of their seven-game road trip and fell to the Jazz for the third time in the past four meetings.

Minnesota, down 12 points with 3:28 to play, went on a 16-3 run sparked by 3-pointers from Luke Ridnour and Kevin Love. Nikola Pekovic scored six of those points, including an offensive put back to tie the score at 99-99 with less than a second remaining. He finished with 20 points.

Love recorded his 165th NBA career double-double, scoring 25 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. Love played the final frame with his left thumb heavily tape after injuring his hand at the end of the third quarter.

Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 26 points off the bench and was one of six Utah players to score in double figures. The Jazz’s bench chipped in with 55 points in the win.

Ridnour scored 18 points and dished out 13 assists for Minnesota.
