MAVERICKS 95, KNICKS 85: Dirk Nowitzki scored 11 of the Mavericks’ final 16 points, leading Dallas to just its second win in the last seven games.

After allowing the Knicks to come from back from 19 points down and take the lead, Nowitzki snapped a skid of 11 straight Dallas possessions without a point with his trademark fadeway at the 4:33 mark of the fourth quarter, sparking a 14-0 run. He finished with 28 points.

New York lost for the second time on its three-game road trip and fell to the Mavericks for the ninth time in their last 11 meetings.

The Knicks outscored the Mavericks 27-19 in the third quarter and opened the final frame on an 11-0 run.

Amar'e Stoudemire scored 10 of his team-high 26 points in the second quarter and put New York ahead 78-77 on a hook shot in the paint with just under five minutes left in the game.

Jason Kidd scored 15 points for the Mavericks, including a clutch 3-pointer with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Knicks guard Jeremy Lin shot just 4 for 13 from the field and finished with 14 points. Carmelo Anthony was 2 for 12 for six points.

Dallas guard Rodrigue Beaubois scored 12 of his 18 points off the bench in the first half.
