GRIZZLIES 96, MAVERICKS 85: Marc Gasol had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Mike Conley added 20 points and 10 assists to help Memphis win its fifth in a row at home while sending Dallas to a third straight loss.

Rudy Gay scored 18 as the Grizzlies matched a franchise record with their third consecutive win in the series.

Jason Terry had 18 points and Rodrigue Beaubois 16 for the Mavericks, who played much of the game without Dirk Nowitzki. The All-Star forward exited early in the second quarter with lower back tightness and did not return. He is listed as day-to-day.

The Mavericks had pulled within four when the Grizzlies countered with 13 unanswered points spanning the third and fourth quarters. Conley hit a 3-pointer, Gay finished an alley-oop from O.J. Mayo and Marreese Speights capped the run with a layup for the 82-67 lead.

Terry hit consecutive jumpers to get the Mavericks back within 86-79 with three minutes to play. But Gay followed with a jumper and Tony Allen made a layup to push the edge out to 90-79.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mavericks forward Lamar Odom was absent for a third straight because of personal reasons. … Nowitzki missed his lone shot attempt in eight minutes of action. … The Grizzlies were just 2 of 12 on 3-pointers.
