Tim Duncan had his fifth straight double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds as the San Antonio Spurs extended its winning streak to eight games with a 99-95 victory over the host Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

Tony Parker scored seven of his 14 points in the final 73 seconds and the Spurs had seven players score in double figures to hold off a stirring fourth-quarter comeback by Detroit.

Rodney Stuckey scored 23 points to pace the Pistons, who stormed back from a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit to go ahead by three points with under five minutes to play.

Richard Jefferson and Tiago Splitter added 13 points apiece for San Antonio, which stayed perfect in the fourth of its nine-game road trip and matched its longest winning streak since rolling off eight straight victories from Jan. 7-21, 2011.

Stuckey had a pair of three-point plays in a 14-0 surge to pull the Pistons with 79-78, but Detroit missed five free throws in the final 4 1/2 minutes and finished 14 of 25 at the stripe.

Pistons center Ben Wallace set a league record by playing in his 1,055th game, the most by any undrafted player since the NBA-ABA merger.
