Derek Fisher made a 27-foot 3-pointer with 3.1 seconds remaining as the Los Angeles Lakers spoiled the return of Lamar Odom with a 73-70 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.

Andrew Bynum had 17 points and 15 rebounds to help the Lakers win their ninth consecutive home game. Kobe Bryant, who had four straight games of 40-plus points, was just 7 of 22 from the field for 14 points.

Instead of Bryant, it was the veteran Fisher (13 points) who led the Lakers late with six consecutive points for a 66-61 lead.

Trailing 70-68, Dallas had a chance to tie but Dirk Nowitzki traveled with 38.7 seconds remaining. Bryant then missed and Jason Terry tied it at 70 before Fisher's dramatic jumper.

Neither team shot well, especially from long range. The Lakers had missed all nine of their 3-pointers before Fisher's basket. Dallas was just 4 of 26 on 3-pointers, with Jason Kidd going 0 for 8.

Nowitzki led Dallas with 21 points and seven rebounds.

Odom, the former Laker making his first appearance at Staples Center since being traded last month, entered to cheers with 7:32 left in the first quarter. He finished with 10 points and four rebounds.
