New Jersey cut the lead to five in the fourth quarter, but two baskets by Johnson, a layup by Smith and Vladimir Radmanovic's 3-pointer pushed the lead to 98-85 with 3:36 remaining.

The Nets, who have lost eight of nine and are winless in four games at home, cut the lead to 104-101 with 4.3 seconds left, but Johnson's two free throws sealed the win.
