Carlos Boozer scored 19 points and Derrick Rose had 17 points and 10 assists as the visiting Chicago Bulls defeated the Detroit Pistons for the 12th straight time, 99-83 on Wednesday.

Richard Hamilton scored 14 points, Joakim Noah had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Taj Gibson scored 12 points as Chicago (6-1) won its fifth straight contest.

Greg Monroe had 19 points and 13 rebounds for Detroit (2-4).

The Bulls set the tone early by limiting the Pistons to 6-of-26 shooting in the first quarter. Detroit finished at 40.9 percent for the game.

Chicago never trailed and led by as many as 18 in the first half. The Bulls led 61-41 after Hamilton’s hoop with 8:06 left in the third quarter before the Pistons cut their deficit to 13 entering the final quarter.

Detroit was unable to close to within single digits in the fourth quarter.

Jonas Jerebko added 13 points for the Pistons, who last defeated the Bulls early in the 2008-09 campaign.
