Dorell Wright scored 24 points and the Golden State Warriors broke the game open in the third quarter while recording a 109-91 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.

Golden State began the second half with an 18-2 run to turn a four-point halftime edge into a 20-point laugher.

Wright connected on six 3-pointers while Stephen Curry added 16 points and six assists for the Warriors (2-0) but left the game midway through the third quarter after aggravating an ankle injury.

Monta Ellis, who had 46 points in Golden State’s first game of the season, had 15 points and 11 assists. David Lee added 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Eric Gordon paced the Clippers (0-2) with 19 points. Baron Davis had 16 points and eight assists, rookie Blake Griffin had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Chris Kaman scored 13 points.

Golden State was 14-of-24 from 3-point range.

The Warriors led 90-67 entering the final quarter after outscoring Los Angeles 32-13 in the third quarter.
