Gerald Wallace recorded 20 points and 11 rebounds and Gerald Henderson scored 18 off the bench as the host Charlotte Bobcats pounded the Los Angeles Lakers, 109-89, on Monday.

Nazr Mohammed and Boris Diaw added 16 points apiece for the Bobcats, who shot 51 percent in winning back-to-back games for the first time this month.

Kobe Bryant, who missed the morning shootaround due to an illness, made the start but looked rusty in 35 minutes, finishing with 20 points while committing five turnovers as the Lakers fell to 4-2 on their seven-game road trip.

Bryant struggled to nine points on 4-of-13 shooting in the first half as Charlotte jumped out to a 49-43 lead at the break.

Los Angeles hung around through most of the third quarter until Charlotte made its move, closing the period with a 14-3 burst to push the lead to 78-60. The Bobcats kept the pedal down in the fourth, pushing the lead to as much as 28 points when Henderson drained a 3-pointer with 6:52 left.
