Josh McRoberts came off the bench with 15 points and a career-high 13 rebounds that allowed the Indiana Pacers to maintain their hold on the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference with a 111-101 home victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Darren Collison scored 20 points and Mike Dunleavy returned after a 20-game absence with a broken thumb and scored nine for the Pacers (34-42), who remained a game ahead of Charlotte (32-42) and three clear of Milwaukee (30-44) for the final playoff spot. Charlotte and Milwaukee both won Wednesday.

Rodney Stuckey had 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds as the Pistons (26-48) lost for the fourth time in five games and dropped to 7-30 on the road.

McRoberts, who made his first six shots and finished 6 of 9 from the field, had five points and eight rebounds in the second quarter when Indiana outscored Detroit 35-20 to take a 59-47 lead at the half.

Danny Granger scored nine of his 17 points in the first four minutes of the third quarter to push the lead to 23, and the Pistons offered very little resistance until the last few minutes of the game.
