The Portland Trail Blazers scored 22 consecutive points in the first quarter and scored 33 of the game's first 37 points en route to a 111-70 rout of the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Gerald Wallace added 17 points for the Blazers, who shot 54 percent and led the league’s worst team by as many as 44 points. Portland limited the Cavaliers to just 12 first-quarter points and 11 in the third.

Cleveland was outrebounded, 45-29, had more turnovers (17) than assists (six) and failed to get an assist from any of its point guards.

Ramon Sessions had 14 points and Daniel Gibson had 12 for the Cleveland, which suffered its second-worst loss of the season.

Baron Davis returned after missing three games to attend his grandmother’s funeral, but left prior to the start of the fourth quarter with back spasms. He had three points and three turnovers.
