The Phoenix Suns handed the host Cleveland Cavaliers their 14th straight loss Wednesday night, holding on for a 106-98 victory as Grant Hill scored 27 points and Steve Nash handed out 15 assists.

The Suns missed their first eight shots of the fourth quarter and scored just 16 points, but Vince Carter picked a great time for his first basket of the game. He had been scoreless until draining a baseline 3-pointer with 2:35 left, extending the lead to 100-92.

Phoenix led by as many as 17 points and took a 90-77 lead into the fourth quarter but its offensive struggles allowed Cleveland to get within three on a 3-pointer by Jamario Moon with 6:25 remaining.

The Cavaliers didn’t make another basket until there were 24 seconds to go and absorbed their 24th loss in 25 games.

Channing Frye scored 18 points and Marcin Gortat had 16 off the bench for the Suns, who have won four in a row.

Ramon Sessions - starting in place of injured guard Mo Williams - had 19 points and eight assists and J.J. Hickson had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavs.
