Kobe Bryant scored 33 points and Pau Gasol had 20 points and eight rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers recorded a 102-98 victory over the visiting Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night at Staples Center.

Lamar Odom had 18 points and seven rebounds off the bench for the Lakers (23-10).

After Jrue Holiday pulled Philadelphia to 96-95 with 2:45 remaining, Bryant sank a jumper 21 seconds later. But Thaddeus Young tied it at 98-98 with two free throws at the 1:33 mark.

Bryant's jumper gave the Lakers at 100-98 lead with 1:15 left. Philadelphia missed two late 3-pointers and Bryant sank two free throws with 1.9 seconds left.

Holiday led Philadelphia (13-20) with 19 points and 11 assists. Andres Nocioni had 13 points and eight rebounds while Louis Williams had 18 points and Young scored 14.

Philadelphia fell to 3-4 on an eight-game trip that ends Monday at New Orleans.
