David Lee scored 27 points in his return to Madison Square Garden to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 122-117 victory over the New York Knicks Wednesday night.

Lee, who was dealt to Golden State in a sign-and-trade deal after five seasons in New York, also grabbed 10 rebounds to lift the Warriors (6-2) to their second straight win.

Golden State also got 25 points from Stephen Curry and 22 from NBA scoring leader Monta Ellis, who was not expected to play after suffering a back injury in Monday's win at Toronto.

New York, which scored a season-low 80 points in a loss at Milwaukee on Tuesday night, lost its third straight game. The Knicks were led by Amar’e Stoudemire with 33 points.

New York (3-5) trailed by 19 points in the third quarter but hit 28 straight free throws and eventually took a 113-111 lead in the final minute.

But the Warriors got five straight points from Dorell Wright to take the lead for good. They held a 120-117 lead in the final seconds when New York's Wilson Chandler missed a potential tying 3-pointer, and Lee sealed the win with two free throws.
