Kevin Garnett had 21 points and Paul Pierce added 20 as the Boston Celtics earned their fifth straight victory Friday, cruising to a 110-86 home victory over the Utah Jazz.

Garnett had his best game since returning earlier this week from a strained calf that kept him out of the lineup for nine games. The 6-foot-11 forward went 7-for-10 from the field and added three rebounds, three assists and three steals as Boston improved to 21-3 at home.

This one was decided early as the Celtics (33-9) opened up a 30-17 lead after one quarter and enjoyed an 18-point advantage at the half. The Celtics shot 55.2 percent for the game and finished with 31 assists on 37 made shots, 12 provided by point guard Rajon Rondo.

Glen Davis had 15 points in a reserve role and rookie center Semih Erden added a career-high 14 on 5-for-5 shooting in the one-sided victory.

Earl Watson's 12 points led the way for the Jazz (27-16), who fell to 0-3 on their five-game road trip. Ex-Celtics forward Al Jefferson, who came in averaging 21 points per game against his former team, managed just seven points on 1-for-11 shooting.
