Ray Allen and Paul Pierce combined for 36 points and the bench contributed 33 more as the weary Boston Celtics posted a convincing 92-83 victory over the host Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

Rajon Rondo had 10 points, 10 assists and five rebounds for the Celtics, who were playing their fourth game in six days – including back-to-back overtime wins in their last two. Boston plays the second of its four-game road trip Monday in Dallas.

Rondo ran an efficient first-half offense, handing out eight assists. Allen and Pierce combined for 22 points and the bench contributed 21 to forge a 58-37 halftime lead.

Kevin Durant (15 points) and Russell Westbrook (12 points) combined to score all 27 points in the third quarter as the Thunder closed on a 13-2 run and held Boston to one field goal over the last six minutes to pull with 73-64.

James Harden opened the fourth with a 3-pointer, but the Celtics' bench responded. Glen Davis buried three jump shots and Semih Erden hit four consecutive free throws before Allen drained his third shot from the arc to push the lead to 88-71 with seven minutes left.

Durant scored 34 points, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a fifth straight triumph by the Celtics.
