Nets 106, Trail Blazers 96: Brook Lopez had 32 points and nine rebounds as host Brooklyn sailed past Portland.

Deron Williams contributed 24 points and 10 assists as the Nets sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference by a full game over the Boston Celtics. Thaddeus Young scored 20 points and Bojan Bogdanovic added 15 off the bench.

Damian Lillard scored 36 points for the Trail Blazers, who were without star forward LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb). Meyers Leonard had season highs of 17 points and 15 rebounds and C.J. McCollum scored 15 points for Portland, which fell two games behind the third-place Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference.

The Trail Blazers attempted to recover from a 22-point deficit and pulled within 69-57 on Lillard’s 3-pointer with 5:26 left in the third quarter but still trailed 77-64 entering the final stanza. Leonard’s basket made it a six-point deficit with 4:37 remaining, but Lopez hit a jumper, Williams drained a 3-pointer and Young slammed home a dunk to make it 96-83 as the Nets cruised to the finish.

Portland held a three-point lead in the second quarter before the Nets exploded with 15 consecutive points, capped by Bogdanovic’s 3-pointer to make it 45-33 with 4:01 left in the half. Brooklyn expanded the lead to 54-38 at the break and continued its strong play with an 8-2 run to start the second half.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Lillard made six 3-pointers as the Trail Blazers went 11-of-26 from behind the arc. … Lopez has scored 30 or more points in six of the last 11 games. … Portland was also without SF Nicolas Batum (back) and C Chris Kaman (thumb), while the Nets were without SG Alan Anderson (knee).
