Wizards 106, 76ers 93: Marcin Gortat collected 23 points and 14 rebounds and Bradley Beal added 20 points as host Washington routed Philadelphia.

John Wall had 13 points and 15 assists and Otto Porter Jr. added 15 points for the Wizards, who won for only the second time in seven games. Drew Gooden and Kevin Seraphin each added 10 points off the bench for Washington, which was without G Garrett Temple (hamstring) and F Paul Pierce (rest).

Ish Smith matched his career high with 23 points and Nerlens Noel tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds for the 76ers, who have lost six of seven overall and 18 of their past 19 on the road. Isaiah Canaan scored 18 points and dished out six assists before leaving with a right ankle sprain and fellow reserve Hollis Thompson added 16 points.

Washington scored the game's first seven points and never trailed. The Wizards shot a blistering 69 percent from the field in the first half and led 65-42 at the break behind 14 points apiece from Gortat and Beal.

The lead grew as large as 34 in the final minute of the third quarter, but Philadelphia used a 14-1 run early in the fourth quarter and Thompson sandwiched two 3-pointers around a Canaan triple to pull the 76ers within 100-85 with 5:43 left. Wall, Gortat and Beal re-entered the game at that point and Washington reeled off six straight points to put to rest any chance of a rally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 76ers dropped to 1-47 when they shoot for a lower percentage than the opposition. … Wizards F Kris Humphries (groin) returned from a 16-game absence and scored six points in 15 minutes off the bench. … Washington dominated the boards 47-34.
