Chase Budinger matched his season high with 19 points and Toronto native Andrew Wiggins had 15 points in his homecoming for Minnesota, which had only eight available players.

Toronto's lead reached double digits at 91-81 after Ross hit a 3-pointer and fed Amir Johnson for a dunk with just under nine minutes to play, but Minnesota surged back and pulled within 95-92 on Adreian Payne's putback of his own miss with six minutes left. The Timberwolves got as close as 98-96 on Budinger's jumper with 2:44 to play before DeRozan and Lou Williams scored back-to-back buckets and Vasquez hit a 3-pointer to help the Raptors seal it.

Martin scored 22 first-half points to keep the Timberwolves in it and Budinger's putback of a Gorgui Dieng miss just before the buzzer pulled Minnesota even at 54 at the break. Wiggins hit a free throw coming out of halftime to give Minnesota a 55-54 lead, but the Raptors rattled off the next seven points and didn't trail again.
