Trail Blazers 110, Kings 99: Damian Lillard scored 19 of his 31 points in the second half and Portland jumped out early and held off host Sacramento.

LaMarcus Aldridge added 26 points and 15 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won three straight after losing 11-of-17. Wesley Matthews had three 3-pointers en route to 17 points and Robin Lopez added 15 points and eight boards as Portland outrebounded Sacramento 43-33 and drained 10-of-24 shots from the arc.

Rudy Gay had 24 points and eight rebounds for the Kings, who played their second straight game without All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins (ankle, hip). Derrick Williams tied a season high with 18 points off the bench and fellow reserve Andre Miller added 12 to go along with 10 assists for Sacramento, which completed a 1-2 homestand and now hits the road for eight straight.

After Sacramento whittled a 17-point, third-quarter deficit to one, Lillard followed a 3-pointer with a jumper to restore a six-point edge with 7 1/2 minutes left. Aldridge, Lopez and Lillard connected for consecutive hoops that pushed the bulge to 11 with 1:13 left as the Blazers closed out the win.

Matthews scored the first nine points during a 14-0 run midway through the first quarter to provide the Blazers a 23-11 edge, but Williams scored five straight points to pull the Kings within 44-41 before Alonzo Gee and Matthews drained 3-pointers during a 20-9 run to close the half. Portland stretched the lead to 17 before the Kings closed the third on an 8-3 run to pull within 85-75, and Williams scored eight straight Kings points to go along with a 3-pointer by Gay that brought Sacramento within 89-88 with 8:23 left in the game.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Kings' bench outscored the Trail Blazers' bench 44-19. … The Kings dropped to 2-12 when Cousins hasn't played. … After averaging 19.9 points on 38.9 percent shooting, including 25 percent from the arc, in his previous 19 games, Lillard has scored 60 points on 21-of-42 shooting in his last two contests.
